Senior Superintending Engineer at Mandera County Government

Mandera County continued to register positive progress anchored on achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) despite challenges and the devastating effects of climate change, which saw prolonged dry spells followed by heavy rains and flooding.Floods displaced families, washed away crops and farming infrastructure and cut off roads. The resilience of our people was put to the test afresh. Interventions by the County and National Governments helped us cope with the disasters, but our people deserve to be cushioned more.Through the will of the almighty God, we overcame the prolonged litigation period, which slowed our work and delayed the appointment of a full Cabinet and Chief Officers. Today, we have a full Cabinet and expanded roles for the accounting officers.
